Comments on: CP work extra with RS-18 8781, 8762 and another 87xx are seen here working near Westfield Beach, about 10 miles out of Saint John. All manual labour involved in contrast to todays all-purpose machinery. And a bit laid-back as well. With todays standards as a guide, can you spot any safety infractions???? :o)

Alex: The line is still “in business” now part of the New Brunswick Southern. CP is history in the East.

Alex181: You’ll see also that most photographs I post are dealing with just that…History in one form or another. I really miss the railroads the way they were, and more so, WHERE they were. Yes, the images are great souvenirs; after so many years one actually forgets where one has been sometimes and photos bring all the memories back. Sure, all photos are a documentation of the times, but for modern digital imagery, history is a long wait.
