<title>Comments on: CP&#8217;s daily train #526, Toronto to USA, pictured here late in the day of July 1st. It would be sundown by the time the train made Niagara, and so&#8230;&#8230;made a short trip to Stoney Creek to catch it. Lead unit, SD40M-2 5498 is one I rarely saw out on the main line. There were only 10 of these; 5490-5499. (This one was retired in 2007) Other locomotives include CP 5424, in yellow, purchased from GATX, then retired in 2001 and two CR C40-8, 6034 and 6044, both leased from Conrail(out of a total of 28) a couple of months earlier. At this time, there were something like 230 units leased by CP. For the fans, just amazing.</title>
