Comments on: Cresting the hill at Vinemount, ON is a top priority Sulphuric Acid train lead by CP 4712, 4238, 4222 and 4218. This train probably originated at Canadian Industries at Copper Cliff, ON., and its’ destination could be International Minerals and Chemical Corporation at Port Maitland, or, it might be destined Welland Yard, where it would be handed over to Conrail and taken Stateside. These trains were ‘as needed’ and I think the end of this particular operation was just before 1990. This photo angle, by the way, is unattainable now due to extensive foliage growth.

Awesome. And thanks for the update on the foliage. I was assuming it was all over grown but was hoping for the best.

Wow, not too often you saw the big M's on the TH&B (compared to the four axle MLW's) - great shot!

Awesome Arnold! These trains lasted into the 90's as I remember seeing a 708 or two (I think that was the symbol), but I think they were less frequent than in the 80's.
