<title>Comments on: Current news reports of wildfire damage in the Summerland to Faulder area reminded me of many years ago with mid-week days off work and able to photograph operations on the CP Princeton sub., with West Summerland a definite favourite location. The daily Penticton to Princeton wayfreight, usually a caboose hop but occasionally with leftover westward tonnage, was quite predictable for timing, such as on Tuesday 1984-06-12 passing along Prairie Valley after a bridge over Fyffe Road while returning to Penticton.

Happily, the Kettle Valley Steam Railway, which operates over this track, has escaped fire damage.</title>
