Comments on: Decent sunny winter’s day. In this view off the old Snake Rd bridge over the CP line in Waterdown; I’ve grabbed an image of the “Barnes Turn”, which used to run from Aberdeen Yard in West Hamilton up to Waterdown North and back to service Barnes, Inc. Today this business is known as Opta Minerals and I do not believe they utilize the railroad any more. Power is CP 1271, 8126 and 8231 with a typically very short train. All units now gone from the CP roster.

They had cars in this 2016 shot from Ryan. Couldn't tell you when they stopped using rail but it couldn't have been all that long after this. Maybe another year or two max after this if I had to hazard a guess.
