The nose of VIA 6105 that was leading VIA #185 on my July 2023 trip was similarly bare, although it did get a VIA Rail Canada decal, and the running numbers were stenciled low on the nose … http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=52572
I believe the center unit that day, VIA 6219 was also sporting bare grey noses.
