<title>Comments on: During spring 1999 and less than one year after the Goderich-Exeter Railway (GEXR) had acquired the Guelph Subdivision and related spurs, units formally assigned to the Goderich Subdivision could be seen operating on the fairly still recently absorbed trackage.

On April 8, 1999 word went out that Georgia Southwestern (GSWR) GP7u 2127 was assigned to train 582 and went north to Elmira during the afternoon on the Waterloo Spur. The former ATSF unit had certainly attracted a fair amount of attention and returned to Kitchener later in the early evening from Elmira.

Here GEXR 582 with GSWR 2127 is pictured slowly approaching the John Street crossing on the Waterloo Spur as it returns to Kitchener with three hoppers lifted from Nutrite Feeds in Elmira.</title>
