		<description>The crew member doing the inspection will also open the west switch of Coakley when the eastbound clears. Some crew members refused to stand on sloped banks like this, citing safety concerns. I usually tried to stand on the opposite side of the switchstand as required by rules, something that also ensured the train being met, was inspected on both sides. 
An historical note, the slag ballast was very recently installed on the Galt Sub when this photo was taken. The program took place through summer of 1979.
Not too long after this date, CP issued instructions that Sw1200RS units must be cut into the middle of engine consists wit&quot;pups&quot; did not have self aligning drawbars. The concern was potential jackknifing of engine consists when backing up longs cuts of cars, or using dynamic brake on heavier trains.</description>
