Comments on: Englewood Railway maintenance-of-way equipment and logging flatcars at Woss, BC. This photo is from a trip my wife & took out west on VIA Rail’s ‘Skeena’ & ‘Canadian’ – taking the ‘Canadian’ from Toronto to Edmonton stopping over in Alberta to explore the Rockies and various preserved railway equipment by rental car before taking VIA Rail’s ‘Skeena’ from Jasper through the Rockies to Prince Rupert then boarding the ferry to Port Hardy to visit Vancouver Island & various preserved equipment there. For more pics from this trip see our website at:

From what I've heard in all the publications I've read is that the rail operations have been shut down: https://www.railwayage.com/news/canada-logging-line-shuts-down-after-100-years/ Unfortunately there was no sign of the diesels anywhere when I was in Woss, and I was not inside the building so can't say if they were stored inside or not. I haven't found any pics of them anywhere online since the shutdown. Regards, Pete

Pete....any sign of any activity or is the operation, by rail at least, shutdown completely ?
Were you escorted on this visit, as in, did you see some GM switchers inside the building perhaps ??
