Every year the colours differ but in 2016 they matched exactly with the G&W scheme – with great colour all over town I had a lot of fun finding photo angles to try. This one really spoke to me but I knew I needed orange in the lead and the window of foliage opportunity is about a week. Furthermore, it usually did not take long for 3054 to get put in the lead so I had to strike while the iron was hot. It was cloudy all day – but just as the train rounded the bend at Guelph Station the sun came out and made those fall oranges and yellows pop brilliantly – making my day.
