Comments on: Even back in 1981 when these hulkingly beautiful MLW C-630s roamed the rails; it was a delight to see them. The sounds made them unforgettable. Ditto for their beauty. And it was real a thrill to capture 3 of them togther. They came into Truro Yard, led by 2008, left their train, and rolled light below where I was standing on an overhead foot bridge. CN 2023, 2021 and 2008. Pity they were all off the roster by 1996, but it was a great time out there while it lasted.

They were so interesting on the outside, but as Phil says, like riding a surfboard once they moved.

They definitely had something special about them. I loved operating them, lol even when they used to rock back and forth when operating light at 15 mph. Felt like i was gonna flip on my side :-)
