Comments on: Even from the air, you can sense the excitement that 6060’s arrival generated!

It took a small army to confirm the date and location of this 35mm Kodachrome image. Special thanks to Steve, Paul, Greg and Jim!

Steve:

Date is Sept 23, 1978. That is from my records and log book.

Paul:

I’m going with Acton, westbound, must have been pretty early in the morning
as the shadows are very long.

Greg:

Those would be the shed tracks at the bottom of the frame, Wallace Street
coming in on the upper left.

Jim:

I think Paul’s got it. Looks to be Acton.

Arnold, I’m thinking that must not be a Pinto wagon… I don’t see anybody walking around wearing a crash helmet.

Isn't this wild? I'm looking at the automobiles; think I see some Ford wagons of the day......is that a Pinto wagon; the reddish one? And there's a '78 Cougar on the left. And no doubt there are half a dozen people I know wandering in that shot...but cannot make out faces. Love this photo!!!
