Comments on: Exeter Depot – 100 Mile House. For almost fifty years prior to 2002, 100 Mile House was a a regular stop for the “Cariboo Prospector”. The Prospector, first run by PGE, then BCR, was made up of BUDD cars and did round trips between North Vancouver and Prince George. No idea when this particular station was built, but if anyone knows, the info would be appreciated.

Thanks for that. It's amazing how well kept the station is. There's only one freight a week, if that, through here these days. All other traffic has been rerouted for quite some time now.

The station in your image was built in 1985. It had a large passenger waiting room, washrooms and various office space. In the basement there was a lunch room, locker room / washrooms for the yard crew and MoW personel. This building replaced a trailer setup from 1971 that was very cramped with little or no room for a passenger waiting area. I'm not sure what was used building wise prior to the trailers in 1971.
