Comments on: Extra 1069 was rounding the corner at mile 24.4 with a train of grain hoppers as it returns back to Edmonton. Interesting grouping of the units, CN’s at each end, ex-NAR’s in the middle.

The CN’s, 1069 & 1076, are long hood forward. The ex-NAR’s, 1082 & 1081, are short hood forward. You can see the bells on the short hoods of the NAR’s, horns on the cab roof also (Ouch! that would hurt, very noisy). Horns are on the long hood of the CN’s (much better ).
