"501 Blues" was a term that came from a Levi's commercial for "501" jeans. The Windsor South TMD's and Conrail Dearborn Dispatchers always referred to it as 'The 501 Blues' when they handed off from CP to CN, and then finally Conrail as they went from Windsor to Detroit.

Great shots of the SOO 66xx locomotives. Does the term "501 Blues" come from the string of "CAST" containers? I have videos of CP trains in 1994 on the Galt Sub; lots of CAST containers back then. I wonder if the "C" stood for China, like "COSCO" (China Ocean Shipping Company) of today. I'm in the land where all those nice treats of ours come from :)
