Comments on: For those of you who might wonder about the little yellow brick station at the Fort Erie Museum at 400 Central Av in that town; well, it used to be known as B-1 Station. It sat at the north side entrance to the International Bridge in what was the town of Bridgeburg before it merged with Fort Erie back in the 1930s. Bridgeburg Station was built by the Grand Trunk in 1873. It was moved to its’ present location this week 33 years ago as I post this. In the left of the photo you can see the remains of the stone foundation; the building is now on the south side awaiting wheels and a truck to take it a mile or so down the road. I wish I had seen how they moved it across the tracks!!! Anyone know how this is done? This late afternoon view is certainly wide open compared to how it looks today……….

The little station was rolled over to Central Av and taken about 1/2 KM south to the park where CN 6218 is on display. You’ll see it at the back of the museum area.
