Comments on: For those who like the “big Blue”, it still seems amazing this road has been gone for 20 years already. Back in the day, Conrail power was a frequent visitor to Fort Erie, having run traffic to and from the USA on an almost daily basis. Here is a nice lashup: CR 9573, 7938, 7936 and 7524, as seen ready to roll back to the USA. The old Central Av bridge in Fort Erie is just barely visible over the auto rack.

Interesting choice of units bookending the GP38s. The Geep 9 would have led long nose forward into Canada and a SW1500? leading back to the States. I miss the blue but we have the CN leased GATX units to make up for it.

What a coincidence. Just watched an Xmas movie where Conrail units kept passing through the town. Now another big string here when I come up stairs. The magic of Christmas. Heh heh.
