<title>Comments on: For three years, more or less, we were treated to a twice daily Canadian on the Kingston Subdivision

And at that time it was strange&#8230;.and given the past year (2020) – and future year? ….that routing was just plain weird *

A high green at CN Scarborough beckons VIA&#8217;s three trains in one:

The combined VIA Rail trains #44 #2 #54: a k a Capital Canadian Canadien Lakeshore

   noteworthy

   * Just like the ( 2021 planned ) continuing routing of VIA Canadian on CN lines

This is one of VIA&#8217;s experiments to reduce transcontinental train costs, no twice daily Sudbury (on CP Rail) switching for the separate daily Toronto and Montreal sections: 82 83 84 the Ottawa valley trains were tri weekly Budd cars on CP Rail, Sudbury to Ottawa. By June 1, 1985 the twice daily Sudbury switching resumed on the Toronto section trains #9 and #10 and Montreal&#8217;s #1 &amp; #2.

   More three in one:

    at Geco

    at Scarborough </title>
