<title>Comments on: Former CP 7069 (a Baldwin DS4-4-1000) is shown at CP&#8217;s West Toronto yard on June 2nd 1986. It was originally part of an 11-unit order of Baldwin switchers (7065-7075) and 13-unit order for roadswitchers (8000-8012) built in 1948 by Baldwin in Eddystone PA (the order was set up for CP via CLC) for dieselizing the E&amp;N, and proved to be CP&#8217;s only Baldwin purchase. The Baldwin fleet served mainly out west on the E&amp;N and in the Vancouver area until the remaining units were retired during the mid-late 1970&#8242;s.

7069 was retired in October 1978, and purchased later that month by a D.A. Lister of Toronto. It currently resides at the Toronto Railway Heritage Association&#8217;s &#8220;Roundhouse Park&#8221; (former CPR John St. Roundhouse) in downtown Toronto, albeit still privately owned and not officially part of the museum&#8217;s collection.

The only other surviving CP Baldwin locomotive was DRS4-4-1000 8000, which was set aside by CP for their old locomotive collection in the 80&#8242;s, but eventually donated to the West Coast Railway Association in Squamish BC.</title>
