Oh, as far as it being on the Wye; well sometimes they ran them that way; backed the train around the wye and into the yard, dropped the train, picked up US traffic and off they went. Not very often. I have seen C&O power doing the same on occasion.

…so what is D & H transfer doing on the Fort Erie Wye?

( this is the wye that the F.E. Diesel Shop is in the centre ? ( more or less )

Fort Erie wye was the east end of the CN Dunnville Subdivison ? later the F.E. spur to Horton steel….

I imagine this was quite the catch in the day. How many were there for it?

To me this would be about as rare as that ACR 105 leading the Test Train in 2016, except the ACR train went all over gods green earth and was photographed by hundreds.

You could have been the only one for these D&H beauties.
