Comments on: GCFX 6043, BNSF 2636 (Santa Fe paint, blue), and BNSF 2537 (Orange) on CN train 271 @ Kitchener. While taking this photo, and believe me, pure luck if anything turned out, this train had a meet with CN 434 and another CN Eastbound (I believe 148) who were item 7 between each other (radio block) and only a couple miles apart. GEXR 584 had also just come on duty and came to switch the yard while 434 was passing – it was a three way meet, which I do have on camera, but no, I did not shoot anything good. I hope one of the dozen railfans who was there this day can pull out some shots – because this was the only one that turned out for me :)
And if you want to talk about my oldies – this is it. You know that first camera you buy, which turns out to be nearly garbage and so are most if not all of your photos – this was my Hewlett Packard C618 2 MP Optical Zoom point and shoot, 2 megapixel. I’m going to try and see if this photo turns out.. not many of them did.

I also had an HP 'advanced point & shoot' leading up to my first DSLR (2005-2007). At least you got a record of the 2003 detours on GEXR. It happened again in Feb '08 but there weren't as many trains and less FPON. Although one EB I got had a BNSF H1 GE trailing.

Great shot despite what was considered 'top of the line' for cameras back then lol...at least for the point and shoot kind. A friend of mine had a similar model. He went with me a couple of times although I never really got any good shots. Still...good colour in your photo and good composition too
