Comments on: Getting a ‘lift’ is VIA F40PH-2 #6403 after having a traction motor fail on it’s trip down to Windsor in the days prior. Here a crew is placing a ‘dummy’ axle in place of the failed traction motor to allow train #76 to tow the unit on the rear of it’s train back to Toronto later in the day. Seems #6403, now #6459, made it into my view finder more often than I realized as I keep finding more and more photos of it.
