It’s almost werid seeing the signals flashing and doing their thing, considering I haven’t seen signals on the line before. The second near-miss wasn't considered a major incident and isn't on the public TSB website, but a coal car got loose from Kitchener yard, rolled down to approximately HWY 7 overpass and 84 had to stop, shove the coal car to Shantz, set it off then continue on their way. Good thing the Breslau bridge was 10 MPH at the time and straight track or it could have been much worse. CTC is 100% in service now. Good news is the signals are approach lit, but they light up as soon as a train passes the previous control point in either direction.. which is a good 10+ miles so at least 10 to 20 minutes of warning CTC was paid for 100% by VIA Rail.
