Comments on: GEXR 431 throttles up out of Guelph with a puff of exhaust as the crew of GEXR 582 gives a roll-by inspection. The 2-unit locomotive set on 431 was quite a difference from the 5-units up front just 2 days prior (http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=28414). 432 left Stratford with 3 units (3394, 3393, 3054) but was stopped by the detector at mile 56.2. The bearing on the #1 axle on the 3393 was worn and overheating. The crew set off the unit (in the siding nearest the photographer; at the far end though) and continued with the 2 units.A foreman arrived shortly to repair the unit, and GEXR 580 towed it to Kitchener for GEXR 432 to lift the next morning.

That’s actually incorrect t, 3393 had issues the evening before on 431 and was set off in Guelph, 432 started with only 2 units that day.
