<title>Comments on: GEXR Train 582 is heading north on the former CNR Fergus sub right at the spot it used to cross the Grand River Railway in Hespeler. Operated as the R. Forbes Co. Ltd. at one time the largest woolen mill in the British Empire. The Lens mill store occupied the site at the time and had since left. What was the small grey shack used for at left? I assume it was railway. The Grand River line into Hespeler became the &#8220;Solaware&#8221; spur (Source: Comments on http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=48874 along with more information). Believe it or not, this spot would have had multiple trains per hour going back and forth from Preston to Hespeler well into the 50&#8242;s when passenger service on the entire GRR was abandoned in &#8217;55. This was a busy spot, along with the traffic on the CNR Fergus, with all the then heavy industry in the area. Most of it is gone now&#8230; just shadows of what once was.</title>
