<title>Comments on: GO F59PH #529 idles at Markham on a warm August evening in 2001. At the time, GO began modestly expanding service on the Stouffville line, with a morning and evening turn from Toronto Union Station to Markham and back, in passenger service both directions (no deadheading equipment moves). I took this opportunity to ride up and back on both the morning and evening runs. The 10 minutes or so for the turn in Markham afforded the possibility of a few quick pictures. The 529 was unique in that it was the only F59PH to retain its original number boards after its midlife overhaul- for what reason, I do not know. This unit remains on the rails at the time of this posting, now owned by Amtrak/NCDOT hauling passengers between Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina (also my home State now).</title>
