This appears to be an evening shot, suggesting the train had just finished its run from Toronto to Hamilton and was preparing to depart in push-mode back east. At the time, CN&#8217;s car department was still using some of the station tracks and platforms for freight car repairs (imaging getting off your GO train onto the platform next to a giant set of freight car wheels!
