Comments on: Goderich-Exeter Railway (GEXR) GP9 179 undergoes some emergency traction motor repairs near the location of the CN roundhouse at Stratford Yard. The winter of 1993-1994 was a brutal one for GEXR’s fleet of second-hand GP9’s and by early February, most were either out of service or severely ailing, which forced RailTex to lease power or transfer from their other operations.

I'm trying to nail down a timeline of when it was torn down. Within a couple years of this photo at the very latest.

Apparently in the early years of GEXR operations they would use the pit in the stall tracks for inspections of their units. Lambton Diesel Specialists were the ones who performed the work then.

I didn't realise the roundhouse lasted in to the 90's. I never went over there.
