The paint must be like what they used on Oldsmobiles in the mid sixties. That paint never stuck either. It’s been over 7 years now since I’ve been to Kelowna. Monte was getting on in years then, he may well have closed up his store by now.
His shop is/was on the west side of Ellis St. just north of Cawston Ave. In a little strip mall.

Thank you L.Priest. I saw CN 2514 just recently and it has the same paint issues. Have never heard of Monte’s Golf so will have to check that out. Was golfing recently but all of a sudden 10cms of snow has put an end to that!

Excellent Richard. I know this scene well from the number of times I have driven past it. That cab looks like it has seen a lot sun and weather. The name of the lake always makes me smile as my son and I, on every trip to Kelowna, would have to check out the second hand clubs at Monte’s Golf Shop.
