Comments on: Having brought the overnight train into Hamilton from Buffalo and New York City, two steam generator equipped NYC GP9s (7511 and 7508) spend the day at the TH&B’s Chatham Street roundhouse. Tonight, they will take over the New York-bound passenger train from CP units at the TH&B Hunter Street station and a CP unit will take their place laying over here until the cycle repeats the next morning.

The date is Nov 20-66. This pair caused quite the scene at the time and actually made the round trip at least 2 days in succession. Usually the power was a single or a pair of E7 or E8, or a combination of an E unit and a GP9.
