<title>Comments on: Heading north on the former Guelph and Goderich railway, the conductor on CP&#8217;s Goderich wayfreight keeps a close eye on his cars from the van as the train trundles along between the Speed River and a trailway.

&#8230; obviously this is the OSR and it&#8217;s 2016 ;) OSR&#8217;s 434462 made a surprise appearance today after a multi year absence.. yet to be seen if this is a regular occurrence or a one-time thing. But the engines up front can nearly fool your eye to the true operator of this train&#8230; certainly reminded me of the trains of my childhood.
This photo inspired by Steve Young&#8217;s recent Posting of the once common Van now mostly a discontinued practice. I know of two railways around here that use a caboose regularly, CSX in Sarnia (who have two and use nearly Daily!), and I guess OSR. Any others use one regularly? Comment below if you do! thank you.</title>
