<title>Comments on: Heading north on the Spadina line to Downsview, a train of mid-70&#8242;s era Hawker Siddeley Canada H5&#8242;s with TTC 5724 in the lead pauses to unload passengers at Dupont Subway Station. Opened in 1978, the Spadina line differed from the monotone Bloor-Danforth in that it featured a variety of different station architectural designs; Dupont is notable for all of its curved edges, round bubble lights, and giant murals further down on both sides of the station platforms. The once-mighty H5 fleet, long the backbone of the Yonge-University-Spadina line, is now retired, and most have either been cut up for scrap in Hamilton or trucked to New York for refurbishing for a Nigerian light rail line in Lagos.
