   Alco-philes Utopia


   Cartier Railway 81 and 74  on a southbound ore pellet train at Able, the first siding north of Port Cartier.

   Cartier 81: a 1975 built MLW M-636, scrapped 2003


   Cartier 74: a 1973 built MLW M-636, sold in 2002 to Marine Diesel Engines


   Cartier Railway (now Arcelor Mittal Mines Canada) first generation  MLW&#8217;s, Alco&#8217;s, and GMD&#8217;s out of service or sold by 2000 and or scrapped by 2011


   The six axle Alco&#8217;s MLW&#8217;s retired by 2002, some sold, some scrapped, several to WNYP (and since retired).


   Arcelor motive power is now nineteen GE AC4400CW, five SD70&#8242;s, two SD90&#8242;s and some leased GE&#8217;s. ( credit  Trackside Guide)
