Comments on: Here is a view of the old GRNR shop, which was once the focal point for the maze of electric electric rail in the area. Since it was dieselized in late 1961, it was reduced to a car shop. On April 19, 1992 it was reduced to rubble after a major fire roared thru the premises, the roof collapsed, and the building was razed.

@railwayguy Glad to hear it! You've solved a near 30-year mystery for me. Last I'd heard it was still in the possession of the dude who saved it from the rubble.

A little good news, the sign “Grand River Railway Shop” is now attached to the east end of Barn 2 at Halton County Radial Railway, that barn being their shop building. Albert, and all others below, once this virus is gone, come to the Museum and photograph the sign once more. And let me be your “personal chauffeur “ and drive you down the line on a TTC Witt (OEHRA Member #23).

@Stephen Host: Torn down in the 60s or 70s, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyone know when that building on the left came down? I don't recognize it.

I remember visiting here in 1990 or so. A contractor was using it as a workshop to convert an old coach into a restaurant for a client in Toronto. Wonder if it's still around.
