Comments on: Here’s a rather rough old image which I feel might appeal to those who knew and photographed at the Junction area of West Toronto in past years.
The whole of the long-gone old Weston Road bridge can be seen.
No traffic on it as it was closed a couple of years before this image was taken. Demolition was in 1983.
I had just gotten out of the car when a train rolled eastbound so grabbed this shot. Power is CP 5731, 4715, 4725, 5511 and 4709. Best combination I would see this visit, and I almost missed it. Not much of a shot, but it is all now history.
That big grain facility that takes up so much land back there. Is that Campbell’s Milling? I understand the structure was razed around 1992. The area has all changed.

Overhead signal tower, but I don't know what the box-like structure attached you probably are referring to is.

You are both right! Campbell became MLM. Part of the many industries in the Junction.

Traffic has been a mess since that bridge closed. Should have been rebuilt with modern structure. BIG mistake. Keele & Dundas heart of the Junction is a mess as it is the only way for traffic to travel north/south in the area.

That crane (at left) sat on West Toronto Team and was the only one in Toronto besides Peter Street crane next to King Street Shed.

I may well be wrong but for some reason Maple Leaf Mills comes to mind as having been in that location.
