Comments on: Here’s a standard-lens image taken from the south side of the Grand River at Caledonia, showing CN’s #725 (steel train) en route to Nanticoke from Hamilton on April 8, 1986. This shot was made to show the size of this bridge and width of the river, as a result the train looks rather diminutive. Power is 9169, 9196 and 9172.

Awesome shot, a train I wish I could have shot if I was only old enough, but at age 12 train photography was still a few years away :)

This is a great shot Arnold! It is an angle that I would love to capture now but cannot. Where you are shooting from in this image is now so overgrown that you cannot see the bridge. Also there are hardly ever daylight trains crossing the bridge. When I shot a wind turbine train here back in the summer this was the only angle available from this side of the bridge: http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=10665
