		<description>I was around 6 years old (1969) growing up in “K-W” when my dad spoke to the gate operator up the stairs and were invited up to take a look. I recall only the view and the airiness of it. Wish  dad had taken a pic or two.
Dad was never overtly a train guy but took my brothers and I on the first train ride I remember from Kingston to Kentville NS, return, on the DAR Dayliner 2-3 yrs prior when we still lived in the Annapolis Valley. 
At Kitchener station once while a train was stopped, also late 1960’s, I vividly recall him speaking to the driver of the FP9A and voila we got to see inside the cab. It was a summer evening just getting dark and we had driven from home after supper quite impromptu I guess, just to see a train, while already in our pj’s ready for bed when we got home.
