Comments on: Here’s an old image I shot while wandering around in my earlier photography years. I had discovered there was much more than hanging out at Bayview seeing endless trains going by…..actually, stations were my first love.
The old Hespeler CN (GTR) station was built around 1900, replacing an earlier structure. Unfortunately efforts to save this building were thwarted by vandals who burned the structure to the ground in 2003.
I don’t think I have been along this road since I shot this station over 50 years ago. Is the Artex Woollen building still in existence? There sure was an abundance of textile businesses in this vicinity back in the day.

"Get it while you can, before it's gone".

Great photo showing not just the station, but the businesses that once stood or in existence trackside....

....even if this was 50 years ago!
