GO will grade separate as much as they can, in time. It’ll take one or two decades to make progress though, so don’t hold your breath. Lots will change down there in that timeframe including scenes like this.

Be interesting to see how this area changes in the next decade with GO. Rumour is many crossings will be grade separated (which would probably include Ontario Street). Supposedly many of the lesser used crossings typically used by farmers will be blocked off entirely. Sounds unrealistic, but Niagara’s dense rural road structure would allow for that without massive inconvenience, though it would still piss off a lot of farmers.
