Comments on: Heritage? What’s that? – while a number of people foam over the “heritage” Amtrak 184 and it’s scheme matching the amfleet cars, I shake my head – this happened on a nearly daily basis with numerous Amtrak paint schemes.. the only scheme we did not get was “pepsi can” paint which was already eradicated. This wasn’t very long ago, guys… :) For the un-initiated, this is the VIA/Amtrak International which was a morning westbound run, and was cut back to Sarnia with a schedule change in April 23 2004, eliminating Amtrak on the Guelph and Strathroy subs..

As a youngin', I never actually shot the Amtrak in this scheme before, so it's nice to see. Also, it adds some variety to a train that rarely has some

Daniel, I don't know how old you are and I don't know if you even knew, but this is more for the real youngins in the group who are barely driving age :)

And there are meny...

Joe, 184 was a nice catalyst to head to Hamilton to bag off a few shots that I have in mind - also if you want to 'collect them all' you kind of have to make sure you get the ones you don't have. At this point I've shot most of the Amtrak 'heritage' schemes save for one or two. And I only need one shot, since this won't be the last time it comes to Canada :)

You think I forgot Steve? Took the Maple Leaf a couple times in 03 and 04 and remember having a phase IV leader on every occasion, one being a double header phase IV combo. Even got photos of one from one occasion. The quality isn't good enough to upload unfortunately. Phase V was a thing I was unaware of until around 2005. I still remember my younger days! :)
