<title>Comments on: HOLYROOD MARINA MARKER. Former Canadian National caboose 6065 has been beautifully restored to its Terra Transport colour and markings by the Town of Holyrood and placed in a prominent location at their scenic marina. Caboose 6065 was one of a group of 5 built for Newfoundland service in 1965. The shell was built by National Steel Car in Hamilton, Ontario, and the interior was completed by CN at its Pointe St. Charles Shops in Montreal. It was shipped to North Sydney on its own wheels (a temporary set of standard gauge wheels). It crossed the Gulf as a deck load and was placed on narrow gauge wheels at Port aux Basques.
It was used in general freight train service by CN and Terra Transport until the end of operations and was placed on display at Holyrood in 1989.There were a total of 20 steel cabooses built in four lots to replace a variety of old wooden cars from 1961 to 1967. In addition to the marina&#8217;s navigation lights, the bright orange of 6065 is also an excellent visual reference for boaters approaching the sheltered harbour from the waters of Conception Bay.</title>
