Comments on: I had been hoping to catch this consist on CN 540 on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a few weeks on the Acton run and had come up getting a different pair several times. I had a couple appointments this day and an hour or so to kill so I thought I might get GEXR at Dawson. Traffic was all backed up on Edinburgh Road so this probably means CN is switching at Guelph Yard. Luckily for me it was the pair I’d been trying to get. Another young man was there shooting this train and he had come up from Chicago just to shoot this GT. He had shot this engine in Chicago several times but wanted a new location. Lucky for both of us it was leading. EMD GP9R, GT 4623 with CN 4906 just finished their work at the Junction and headed off up the Guelph North spur for more work there.
