Comments on: I had head from an OSR conductor that some track in the St. Thomas Sub’s Beachville siding was made up of pre-1900 forged rail. This was the oldest I could fine. Anyone know of anything older in Canada that is still in regular use?

CP (Credit Valley?) had Krupp steel rail from the 1800s in St. Thomas Yard, 40 yrs ago. I don't even know if those tracks are still there, they were behind theCP/MCRR freight house that is now gone.

Nice find! If I remember correctly, parts of the Meaford Sub on the BCRY 'still in use' date back to the 1800s.
