Comments on: I know that in this day and age, people might think that this is the rear of the train. What, only one engine leading? This was more common than you might think, particularly with empty grain trains. Hello Trevor or others in the area; I was wondering if there is a photo eastward from that hill in the background?

I a, mot 100% certain, but I think that the hill is at 53.526408, -114.276339
Sat photos seem to indicate that the hill is clear, but the trees akong the tracks are thick. If there is a shot, it might be during the 10 months of the year when there are no leaves A long lens might be needed also.

Hmmm I’ve never noticed that hill since this shot is now overgrown with trees, I might have to do a little scouting…..

I once ran 115 grain empties from Jasper to Edson behind a solo GP40-2. No trouble at all maintaining track speed.
