The fledgling Ottawa Central is less than 6 months old when this photo was taken, and started with a fleet of RS18u diesels cast from the Canadian Pacific. From red to black, same numbers. It seemed we hardly got to know the Ottawa Central before it was reabsorbed back into the CN after a short lived independence, so to speak, from 1998 to 2008.
