Comments on: I probably will need to be corrected with this one. For some strange reason I did not mark the location of this slide. But that church steeple in the background indicates to me it is Woodstock, Ontario. But the rest of the scene…….I dunno. Nice combination; CP 8149 in the “new” paint and 8150 in the old. The SW 8149 became #1248 in 1984; then to control cab #1154 in 2003. The SW 8150 became #1270 in 1985; then retired 2012 and sold to NRE same year.

Woodstock it is. That crossing is Givins Street, which no longer crosses the tracks. The white structure at left is still standing. St. Mary’s Catholic Church in the background on the north west corner of Oxford and Drew Streets was demolished about 2010, the facade remaining until about 2014 before being purchased by a private owner and dismantled brick by brick.
