Comments on: I remember this day well. A heavy winter storm had just finished passing through Southern Ontario leaving a good dumping of snow behind. CN train 396 has spent much of its trip from Chicago the previous day battling the weather, with the snow accumulation on the units telling g the story. CN’s SD40”s models seemed a dime a dozen back them but certainly not anymore, And consist like this are missed deeply today. Here the train is passing the old water over rail Inspection shed.

The area around the stairs is badly overgrown, as are most of those "haunts" we used to enjoy. Nice pic. And I certainly agree about those engines we took almost for granted in the past.

So that’s where it is hiding, so overgrown now. I don’t believe photos can be taken from the stairs anymore, believe it is posted off limits as well.

Nice shot Marcus. The shed was eventually pushed into the bushes by CN not too long after this photo I believe.
