Comments on: I remember this to be a really nice Saturday morning for the regular scheduled summer ‘steam’ trip from Toronto to Niagara Falls and return via Bullet Nosed Betty. I grabbed a couple of shots and then a quick slide of it for posterity as it rolled by. Nice that more than 40 years later I get to share it via Railpictures.ca. NOT nice that it has gone west, thanks to the shortsightedness of our government. But what else is new?

I believe it was at the provincial level. Seeing the CN 6060 was at a dead end without financial assistance, Alberta decided they would undertake the repairs and the locomotive went west.
Too bad, because it was a huge tourist draw here.
