Comments on: I so enjoyed a visit to Dundas and to this day really miss the place. Of course the station is long gone but in the last few years authorities have tightened up on parking and hiking and the area is getting to be pretty well inaccessible, much to my dismay. The plan is, of course, to get everyone to pay to park in the area. Either that, or walk a considerable distance. Back in the carefree days, so to speak, we see VIA 6528 and an unidentified B unit coming in for a stop in the early morning with an eastbound train. I gather the little kids are not to fond of the noise!!!! I was called out and offered a ride to Bayview by the engineer, but declined as I had no idea who was at Bayview who could drive me back up to Dundas and my car. Those were the days……….

Trains that stopped here were never on the schedule. This was a “flag stop”.
ngineered4u – I would presume you are referring to the 80s, et al, when Arnold took the photo. Before that of course there were 4 regularly scheduled trains with timetable stops at Dundas.

Yeah, you kinda did, Mr. Engineer You must be pre-occupied with the Snake. I mentioned in my CAPTION that I was offered a ride from Dundas down to Bayview where I had to detrain but I had no ride back to Dundas….even if the Snake was there, probably sunning his belly on the hood of his crappy old car back then:o) Stuart wondered how I was getting off, and I remember the engineer telling me he would be stopping.
