Comments on: I sure miss the days of the big Alcos. In this scene, a couple of MLW C-630M behemoths ease off somewhat after the long escarpment climb from Bayview Jct. CN 2007, 2009 are on the south track going west. Governor’s Rd is in the background.

There's a lot more undergrowth there now.
Governor's Road was still Provincial Highway 99 in 1979 wasn't it Arnold?

Nice. I sure do miss those days as well. The power was far more interesting and the right of ways were so much cleaner and accessible. They even had a 4 axel thingy on the rear end. At least we have those memories.

Railroading is not as interesting as it was 20 years ago, let alone 35. It's all relative to your experience I suppose, but this is far more interesting than a pair of ES44DC's!
